Day 5 — Zeebrugge, a quick stretch, and back on board for the final day

Zeebrugge marina — small, peaceful, and a nice place for a stroll.

Last port day and we kept it simple. A wander around Zeebrugge, a few sailboats, and straight back to the ship for a final day of doing absolutely nothing.

Last day of the cruise and we were in Zeebrugge. We got off the ship and took the free shuttle to the port terminal — you cannot walk across the port itself so the shuttle is the only way out. It is a quick ride and drops you right by the town entrance.

Zeebrugge itself is not a big place. We had a wander around, stretched our legs, and looked at the sailboats in the marina. That was about the extent of it. There is not a huge amount to see if you are not heading into Bruges.

The excursion to Bruges was £11 and we skipped it. I have been to Bruges before and today I just wanted to be back on the ship. It is the last full day and I wanted to make the most of it.

So we headed straight back on board, grabbed a lounger on deck, and did nothing for the rest of the day. Ordered drinks, enjoyed the food, soaked up the sun, and let the ship do the work. Exactly how a final day should be spent. Southampton tomorrow.
